My name is Andrea and I’m the founder of Inner Path Wellness. I’m truly honoured that you’re here. I’m an Acupuncturist & Herbalist practicing Chinese Medicine in Nelson, BC. I acknowledge that I live and work on unceded and traditional lands of the Sinixt, Ktunaxa and Sylix peoples. Having a deep reverence for the natural world means I spend much of my free time outside, often meandering through the beautiful mountains and forests of the surrounding West Kootenays.

I am a Mesa carrier in the lineage of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition (PMT) which is a cross-cultural shamanic practice for both personal and planetary healing. The PMT has been described as a living, breathing and evolving holistic spiritual practice designed to build bridges between cultures, while honouring the universal wisdom of nature itself. The PMT has enriched my life in myriad ways. It is rooted in the practice of Ayni which means “sacred reciprocity”. Practising Ayni has helped me to understand the importance of giving back for all that we receive. It has deepened my relationship with all beings, and especially with Pachamama, our Earth Mother who lovingly and unconditionally supports all of us.

I am extremely grateful to be of service with my work. My practice is a combination of acupuncture, acupressure, craniosacral therapy, massage, deep listening and energetic touch. In addition, I work with moxibustion, cupping, chinese herbal medicines and formulas, seasonal dietary modifications, and nourishing life principles (known as Yang Sheng Fa in Chinese Medicine) to help bring about balance. It is my deep belief that each one of us has an innate ability to heal ourselves and live a life full of vitality. My intention is to help empower you along your healing journey!

Our internal world is mirrored by our outer world. Healing through the inner path includes balancing the physical, mental and emotional bodies. Wellness can always flower from a place where it is truly safe to open your heart.

Principles of the Inner Path

1. Our bodies have an innate ability to heal

Our bodies are incredibly resilient and our natural state is wellness. When we fall out of balance or homeostasis, we are being given signals that attention is required. When you believe in your body’s innate healing ability, you are one step closer to finding your own balance.

2. Your body is a sacred vehicle

For this life’s journey, you have been gifted with a sacred vehicle that we call a body. When you acknowledge and honour the gift that your body is, taking sweet care of it becomes a top priority.

3. Receiving is healing

Many of us are more willing to give than to receive. Part of healing includes a willingness to truly receive the love and support that is being offered, and that each of us deserves.

4. The longest journey is from the head to the heart

Traveling the inner path includes moving from our thinking minds (the head), down and in to the feeling mind (the heart). Like all journeys, this begins with one first step. By choosing to work on your inner life, you begin to heal and transform not only yourself, but also the world around you. This is beautiful and powerful work.
